About Us
Village Beneficiaries Education and Development Society
Our work is vital for empowering marginalized communities, improving lives through education, healthcare, and economic sustainability, and fostering overall social development.
Founded in 1990 under the Societies Act XXI of 1860 in Karaikal. Founded by Mrs. V. Buvaneswary, the organization was created with a vision to uplift the marginalized and underserved communities by promoting equality, social justice, and empowerment. VBEDS serves communities without discrimination of caste, color, creed, or religion, working towards the holistic development of individuals and society. Its mission is to empower the poor, downtrodden, and marginalized groups through education, economic empowerment, social awareness, and political enlightenment. VBEDS has implemented various initiatives, including child education, women's empowerment through self-help groups, health programs targeting HIV/AIDS and other diseases, and disaster rehabilitation, among others. Operating primarily in Karaikal district, the organization also works towards environmental conservation and sustainable development, ensuring a better future for the communities it serves.
