VBEDS successfully conducted an HIV testing campaign at Anna College, Karaikal, with the objective of raising awareness about HIV/AIDS, promoting early detection, and encouraging responsible health practices among students and faculty members.
The objectives of the camp is to provide free and confidential HIV testing. To educate students on HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment. To dispel myths and misconceptions surrounding HIV/AIDS. Awareness Session: Experts from the health sector delivered informative talks on HIV transmission, prevention, and the importance of regular testing. Counseling Services: Professional counselors provided pre- and post-test counseling to participants, ensuring they understood the testing process and its implications.
HIV Testing: A mobile testing unit was set up on campus where voluntary and confidential testing was conducted. Distribution of IEC Materials: Pamphlets, brochures, and awareness posters were distributed to reinforce key messages about HIV/AIDS.
